Kat Valastur's interview moved me. The choreographer and performer from Greece that lives and works in Berlin creates fields of forces.

The very first time i watched Kat Valastur's performance was many many years ago but i still remember the feeling. Intense, powerful, vibrated, electrized like coming from the very deep of my body and then it was coming out in a non controlled vibe.

Kat Valastur says that maybe it's her passion that motivates her to create. I am calling it a gift. Cause the gift consists of a mixture of things that give this unique entity at Katerina's mind, soul and body. A mixture of essential "things" that make other people feel, questioned, see a new perspective and maybe a new life. As Katerina says: Desire, restlessness, the need to learn more, to experience more, to find a place and the conditions to work. To find yourself and your limits. To know that you couldn't but live a life where you could always create and accepting the challenges of such a life. I call it a gift.

Katerina's dialogues between the conscious and the unconscious will always guide her to a more deep, meaningful and at the same time challenging life, mirroring this unique self to her choreographies.

Thank you Katerina for your time and your deep and essential thoughts. Cause humans who transfer essential messages through their work, they don't focus only at the functional part of it but they question and search all the time truth, philosophy and the "psychology" of life.
