Multidimentional creativity by Alejandra Giraud (Mono Giraud)
4:05:00 μ.μ.The stopping power of her images, made me wanna learn more for her work. Alejandra Giraud and her brand Mono Giraud, in Buenos Aires, woke up my senses at the fullest.
Alejandra Giraud creates textiles, decoration and photography "pieces". All the materials she uses are natural materials, i.e. woods and natural fibers. Although such materials are familiar to all of us, the way she handles them, gives a unique and emotional outcome.
Except from creating her collection with such materials, she is moving to the next phase where she reinterprets them in an evolutionary way by producing artistic photos. In that way she depicts in an inspiring and creative way the Mono Giraud's collection.

Twelve Winks: The point of view, of each one of us, is unique. Although, there are times where this point of view is accompanied with a high level of perception and hi end aesthetics. Which do you think is the factor that differentiates you and your products?
Alejandra Giraud: I always know very well what I want to do and I have no idea what I am doing. I start from a structure with an ingredient of change, freedom and absolute modification.
Twelve Winks: What is the philosophy of your brand?
Alejandra Giraud: The soul of my brand, is more about things, it has to do with the way I see everything around me, in order to go through the design process from the most sensitive and emotional side, understanding the spirit of the materials when I intervene them. It has an authentic, personal, free and forceful philosophy. Monogiraud's soul is Mono Giraud's soul.
Twelve Winks: The concept and the production of the photography for your products, combine in a balanced way the abstract creativity with the structural professionalism. A contradiction that, according to my opinion, gives added value to your work. In what way do you take part at this procedure.
Alejandra Giraud: I get involved in the process from start to finish. I see everything in context, none of the parts separately makes sense without the whole; in this same way I see photography as a whole, where nothing should be left over or missing. I need to live and go through the process to feel it and thus find the harmony of images that speak.
Twelve Winks: Do you believe that hi end creativity is a fact of education combined with experience or is it mainly innate?
Alejandra Giraud: I think that creativity has a little bit of everything, it has to do with the experience, the learning and the gift that you bring at birth.
Twelve Winks: From where do you get inspiration?
Alejandra Giraud: From my insides. I find inspiration in the emotions that go through me while I create.
Twelve Winks: What raises your serotonin in your everyday life?
Alejandra Giraud: Knowing that everything I do during the day will take me to an unknown place, I find security in the new and the unknown. I always enjoy generating new experiences and feeling new sensations.

Η δυναμική των εικόνων της, ήταν αυτό που με έκανε να θελήσω να αναζητήσω να μάθω περισσότερα για εκείνη. Η Alejandra Giraud και το brand της - Mono Giraud - με έδρα το Buenos Aires, ξύπνησαν στο έπακρο τις αισθήσεις μου.
Η Alejandra Giraud, δημιουργεί υφάσματα, διακοσμητικά και φωτογραφικά "στοιχεία". Όλα τα υλικά που χρησιμοποιεί είναι φυσικά υλικά, όπως ξύλο και φυσικές ίνες. Παρόλο που τα υλικά αυτά είναι γνωστά σε όλους μας, ο τρόπος που τα χρησιμοποιεί, δίνει ένα μοναδικά δημιουργικό και συναισθηματικό αποτέλεσμα.
Δεν σταματάει όμως εδώ. Εκτός από το να δημιουργεί την συλλογή των προϊόντων της, συνεχίζει πηγαίνοντας στην επόμενη φάση, όπου επανερμηνεύει τα υλικά της με έναν εξελικτικό τρόπο, με στόχο να δημιουργήσει καλλιτεχνικές φωτογραφίες. Twelve Winks: Η οπτική του καθενός, είναι μοναδική. Παρόλο αυτά, υπάρχουν φορές όπου αυτή η ματιά συνοδεύεται από υψηλή αντίληψη και αισθητική. Τί πιστεύεις ότι είναι αυτό που διαφοροποιεί εσένα και τα προϊόντα σου;
Alejandra Giraud: Πάντα ξέρω πολύ καλά το τί θέλω να κάνω και ταυτόχρονα δεν έχω ιδέα για το τί κάνω. Ξεκινώ από μια δομή με ένα συστατικό αλλαγής, ελευθερίας και απόλυτης παραλλαγής.
Twelve Winks: Ποιά είναι η φιλοσοφία της εταιρείας σου;
Alejandra Giraud: Η ψυχή της εταιρείας μου, έχει να κάνει κυρίως με πράγματα, έχει να κάνει με τον τρόπο που βλέπω τα πάντα γύρω μου, ώστε να μπω σε μια διαδικασία σχεδιασμού με μια πιο ευαίσθητη και συναισθηματική πλευρά, να καταλάβω το πνεύμα/τη ψυχή των υλικών όταν παρεμβαίνω σε αυτά. Είναι μια αυθεντική, προσωπική, ελεύθερη και ισχυρή φιλοσοφία. Η ψυχή της Monogiraud, είναι η ψυχή της Mono Giraud.
Twelve Winks: Η ιδέα και η παραγωγή των φωτογραφήσεων για τα προϊόντα σου, συνδυάζουν με έναν ισορροπημένο τρόπο την αφαιρετική δημιουργικότητα και τον δομημένο επαγγελματισμό. Αυτή η αντίφαση, κατά την άποψή μου, δίνει προστιθέμενη αξία στη δουλειά σου. Με ποιό τρόπο παίρνεις μέρος σε αυτή τη διαδικασία παραγωγής;
Alejandra Giraud: Ασχολούμαι με τη διαδικασία από την αρχή ως το τέλος. Βλέπω τα πάντα ως ένα πλαίσιο, κανένα από τα κομμάτια χωριστά δεν έχει κάποιο νόημα χωρίς το σύνολο. Με τον ίδιο τρόπο βλέπω τη φωτογραφία ως ένα σύνολο, όπου τίποτα δε θα πρέπει να λείπει. Πρέπει να ζήσω όλη τη διαδικάσια για να τη νιώσω και έτσι βρίσκω την αρμονία των εικόνων, που "μιλούν".
Twelve Winks: Πιστεύεις ότι η υψηλή δημιουργικότητα προέρχεται από την σχετική εκπαίδευση σε συνδυασμό με την εμπειρία ή ότι είναι κυρίως έμφυτη;
Alejandra Giraud: Πιστεύω πως η δημιουργικότητα έχει λίγο από όλα. Έχει να κάνει με την εμπειρία, τη μάθηση αλλά και το χάρισμα, με το οποίο γεννιέσαι.
Twelve Winks: Από πού αντλείς έμπνευση;
Alejandra Giraud: Από μέσα μου. Βρίσκω έμπνευση στα συναισθήματα που βιώνω μέσα μου ενώ δημιουργώ.
Twelve Winks: Τί ανεβάζει τη σεροτονίνη σου, στη καθημερινότητά σου;
Alejandra Giraud: Το να γνωρίζω ότι οτιδήποτε κάνω μέσα στην ημέρα θα με πάει σε άγνωστα μέρη. Βρίσκω ασφάλεια στο νέο και στο άγνωστο. Πάντα απολαμβάνω το να δημιουργώ νέες εμπειρίες και να νιώθω νέες αισθήσεις.
